Behind Whanganui Renovation Company is a practical, experienced team that cares about doing the job properly.

Our work is built on clear communication, honest advice, reliable follow-through, and a high standard of workmanship. From early conversations and planning through to site coordination and finishing details, we bring a hands-on approach to residential building work and take real pride in the homes we help improve.

Together with sister company Viking Built Wanganui, the wider team brings depth of experience across projects big and small — from renovations and additions through to high-end new builds. That means homeowners can feel confident they are working with builders who understand both the day-to-day realities of improving existing homes and the broader demands of more ambitious residential projects.

Sandon Mcmeeking

Sandon leads Whanganui Renovation Company and brings 10 years of trade experience to the business. He plays a central role in guiding projects from first enquiry through to final delivery, with a strong focus on communication, reliability, and quality workmanship.

Sandon’s approach is grounded and straightforward. He understands that for many homeowners, the building process can feel overwhelming, especially when poor planning or poor communication have been concerns in the past. That is why he places so much emphasis on being clear, responsive, and easy to deal with throughout the life of a project.

He works closely with clients to understand what they are trying to achieve, offer practical input, and help shape a process that feels organised and well handled from the outset.
